Plaza El Faro, March 3rd thru 5th, 2011

Plaza El Faro has witnessed the birth of a BCS artist, who has found in this beautiful place, an ideal space to showcase his work for second time: Edgar Landín, who founds in Plaza El Faro an invaluable link between the artist and who likes art as always supported by the companies of Mr. John Pentz by Patty Soto, director of marketing, who are distinguished in supporting culture and the arts, committed to local talent and have been
unconditional support in the development and emergence of this artist who has been showing quality work and professionalism worthy to display.

PLASTIC WORKS
The artist Edgar Landín presents the second series of oils titled “Intertwined Chronicles.” An interesting work that shows the technical evolution of this artist, showing a synthesis of intense and crucial moments that symbolically describe situations that human beings experience in their daily lives. The work of Edgar Landín has the distinction of facing the viewer through the line, expression, color and composition up to infiltrate the memories, experiences and stories to be intimate. Prisoner for each canvas, we see the vulnerable and sensitive human beings experience. The recognition given to the artist’s work have encouraged him to make a second series of paintings showing a bit of romance, as much of Renaissance influence and the quirky realism that the artist gives us in his work. The series consists of oil paintings on canvas of various sizes. Paintings ranging from 2 meters wide to small pieces of 50 cms. It summarizes the work of 5 months of work by the artist. Some, full of overlapping images, starting a story, but at the end of the day are preempted and drowned by stronger messages that give us the result that exhibits the
artist.

ARTIST RESUME
“Intertwined Chronicles” is a continuation of “the edge of feelings”, a series of paintings that the artist exhibited in the month of July 2010 and was his first formal presentation. A series enjoyed by their originality, sensitivity and deep symbolism. Plaza El Faro presented for the first time to the Los Cabos society the artist’s work, where he exhibited paintings mostly in small sizes, a little shy in size, they were part of the first strokes on the canvas that the artist has done. Edgar Landín, began working as a painter, encouraged by the advice of his friend Lucia Maya, Jalisco painter of international stature and influence who insisted that Edgar took the brush and imprint by his painting an honest message, without prejudice and without false claims, with a self-taught technique, without fear and directed by a hidden desire since childhood.
